Bhutan is perhaps the most mysterious and diverse of all the Himalayan kingdoms, where for centuries a traditional Buddhist culture has thrived in isolation from the rest of the world. It is a land of contrast – lush forested valleys, fortified monasteries, sacred mountains, and art and architecture unique to the region. Our journey begins in Paro before we head out into the countryside to visit the beautiful Punakha, Bumthang and Gangtey valleys.
Here we explore the rural lifestyle and architecture of Bhutan before heading to Thimphu. We have two days to explore the capital before returning to Paro where, on one of the highlights of our tour, we visit Taktsang, the Tiger’s Nest, a small monastery clinging to a rocky cliff 900 metres above the valley floor.

14 day trek with Sarba to Everest Base Camp + Kalapather. We were picked up from the airport
Upper Mustag, is a unique place and going there is not a trek, is a journey.
I have nothing but good word to say about my trekking experience with Nepal Nomad.
There are no other places as exciting as Nepal for trekking but despite there are so many great opportunities something like 95% of the people concentrate in just 3 itineraries: the Everest BC trek, the Annapurna South BC trek and the Annapurna Round Trek. Recently the Lantang trek is also getting crowded.
Bhutan is perhaps the most mysterious and diverse of all the Himalayan kingdoms,

This trip covers the highlights of Western Bhutan and focuses on Paro Tsechu.

The Thimphu Tsechu that falls during autumn is one of the grandest of the tsechus of Bhutan.

Glorious Punakha festival is the highlight of this journey. This is the festival of intense color
