Trip Overview
The Tsum Valley is a sacred pilgrimage site which situates in northern Gorkha. Tsum Tibetan word "Tsombo" which means vivid. The trail heads upper Budi Gandaki River Valley through unexplored countryside inhabited by the Gurung community. Upper Tsum valley open from Chhokangparo, where “Tsombo" welcomes you with traditional Tibetan Chiya (butter tea) and local meal. The Tsum Valley is extensively rich in cultural point of view. The valley is dewls with gompas (Buddhist monasteries), chortens and mani walls. The longest mani walls Dzong and Phurpe.

Yaru khola to Lokpa (6-7 hrs)

Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa, visit Gonhgye Gompa (Nyigma-pa Buddhist sect) (5 hrs)

Rachen Gompa to Dumje (6-7 hrs)
