On the first day of our climbing venture of Mera Peak beginning from Khare, we will be meeting with the climbing experts and preparing all the gear required for climbing. Today, we will practice ice climbing; however, it depends upon the season of our travel. If there is no availability of ice, then it would be replaced by simple hiking and gear-using practices. We will be conducting hikes to catch the glorious views of Mera La. Our climbing experts will give you some training about climbing and what things should be avoided while undertaking it. We will be practicing for some hours at the Glacier and then head back to our Camp at Khare where we will be staying overnight.

Today, we will be heading for Mera Peak Base Camp situated at an elevation of 5,350 meters. It is likely to take us about three to four hours to reach Mera Peak Base Camp where we will be camping for the night. As we move through the moraine above Khare and pass through some boulders, we will be led towards Mera La pass situated at an elevation of 5,415m which is certain to reward us with the views of mystical landscapes and glorious mountain scenarios. Then we will conduct a descent towards Hongu and head further toward the Base Camp. We will find a proper area for camping and settle our camp there.

On the third day, we will further move towards the High Campo situated at an altitude of 5,750 meters. It won’t be a very long trek rather it will take us about four hours to get to the High Camp. We will be camping there for our overnight stay as we are accompanied by astounding scenarios of mountains like Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest, and some other incredible peaks.
