Our team member will be there to pick you up at Tribuvan international airport and escort you to your accommodation on the very first day. In the remaining time, you can stroll around the streets of Basantapur, Thamle and some other places. You will be provided with the best hospitality along with a delicious Nepali cuisine dinner. You will be staying overnight at Kathmandu.

We spend our second day by sightseeing the beautiful city of temples. Our guide you escort you throughout your short Kathmandu tour. You can take this opportunity to visit various world heritage sites like Swayambhunath, pashupatinath etc. You are likely to be stunned with the unique architecture of temples and buildings that holds the pride of the city. We will be taking short walks in different parts of the city to take a close look at various aspects that forms Kathmandu; from food to local culture. In the afternoon, we will be returning back to our accommodations and start preparing for the trip ahead. Discussions will be conducted and any queries of yours will be answered by our team. We will be staying overnight at Kathmandu.

On the third day of our trip, we will be reaching Pokhara in a private vehicle which is likely to take us about six hours of drive. The path is composed of the main busy highway of Kathmandu that extends to Pokhara and further way ahead. As we reach Pokhara, you will be escorted to your accommodation. You can take short walks in the afternoon around the banks of Fewa Lake. We will be staying overnight in Pokhara.

On the fourth day of our trek, we will be heading to Darbang on a private vehicle which is likely to take us about four hours. We will be encountering Beni on the way which is headquarter of Dhaulagiri and is indeed a big town in the region. We will be having overnight stay at Beni.

On the fifth day we will finally begin our trekking which is likely to last about four hours as we reach the Riverside which is our destination for the day. Situated at an elevation of 1560 meters, we will be passing through various farm areas and small villages on our way to riverside of Myagdi. We will be staying overnight in our camp at the Riverside.

We will be leaving for Bagar very early in the morning after having a warm breakfast at Riverside. It is likely to take us about six hours to reach the destination. We will be passing through various villages like the village of Jugapani and stop for lunch on the way. There will be various ups and downs on the way as we will be crossing dense forests and ridges. We will be camping at an elevation of 2375 meters, on a small village of Bagar.

On the seventh day of our trek, we will be leaving Bagar after an early morning breakfast. We will be moving across the Farm fields of Bagar as we head towards Dovan which is likely to take us about six hours of walk. Dovan is situated at an elevation of 2600 meters and the trails to Dovan takes us through forests decorated with rhododendrons, oaks and pines. From the route, we will get the spectacular view of the flowing Myagdi River. We will be camping by the river at Dovan for our night stay at Dovan.

Today, we will be heading for Chartare which is also known by the name of Bhainsi Kharka. We will leave after having an early morning breakfast at Dovan. It is likely to take us about fice hours to reach Bhainsi Kharkla as we opass through various wooden bridges over the confluence of the gracious Myagdi river. We will be staying overnight at Bhainsi Kharka.

From Bhainsin Kharka, we will be making our way towards Pakhaban after a warm breakfast. Pakhaban is situated at an altitude of 3750 meters which is likely to take us about five hours of walk to reach. You are certain to be stunned with the gorgeous views of Dhaulagiri in the South, Manapathi and some other gorgeous peaks as you head for Pakhaban. We will be spending our night at Pakhaban.

On the tenth day of our trek, we will be heading for Dhaulagiri base Camp which is situated at an altitude of 4750 meters. We will leave pakhaban after having an early morning breakfast. It is likely to take us about six hours to reach our destination for the day. We will be walking between great mountains as the graciously flowing Myagdi river accompanies us. We will be settling our camp on a rocky area in the lap of Mt. Dhaulagiri. We will be staying overnight at Dhaulagiri.

From Dhaulagiri, we will be moving towards hidden Valley which is situated at an elevation of 4900 meters. As we make our way through the route of Hidden Vaalley, we will be encountering the French pass situated at an elevation of5360 meters. We will get to see many prayer flags decorated on some routes. Likewise, after few hours of walk downhill through yak grazing grassland, we will reach our camping destination in Hidden valley.

After an early morning breakfast, we will be heading for Dhampus Peak Base Camp which will be our camping destination for the night. It is likely to take us about five to six hours of walk through the beautiful green vegetation along with the company of glorious mountain peaks to reach Dhampus Peak Base Camp. There, we will look for a suitable camping site where we will be staying for overnight.

On the seventieth day of our trek, we will be staying at Dhampus Peak Base camp in order to prepare ourselves for the upcoming challenges and acclimatize our body.

Today, we will be moving towards high camp after an early morning breakfast at Dhampus Base Camp. It will approximately take us about three to four hours to reach the elevation of 5600 meters where High Camp is situated at. As soon as we arrive, the team members will be setting up the necessary equipments like harness, ropes, ice axes etc. for climbing after settling our camp. We will be staying overnight at the camp before we summit the peak.

Finally on the nineteenth day of our trek, we start climbing the peak very early in the morning using all the preparation we made the previous day. We will be processing the climb in a technical manner, following all the guidance provided by our experienced climbing member. After summiting the peak situated at an elevation of 6012 meters, we will be heading back to the Base Camp. It is likely to take us the total time of six to nine hours to complete the day’s activities. However, from the top of the peak, you will be stunned with the magnificent views of amazing Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak and some other glorious peaks. We will be staying overnight at the Base Camp before we further move towards the ending of this amazing trip.

Today, we will be heading for Yak Kharka with nothing but pride in our heart after the huge accomplishment in mountaineering adventure. You surely deserve some pats on the back and moments of celebrations which we will certainly be conducting in favorable accommodations. We will be passing through the incredible Dhampus Pass situated at an elevation of 5240 meters which will certainly reward us with the views of glorious landscapes and snowcapped mountain peaks. It is likely to take us about seven to eight hours to reach Yak Kharka. We will be staying overnight at Yak Kharka.

On the twenty-first day, we will be heading for Jomsom situated at an elevation of 2,670 meters. We will be moving downhill from Yak Kharka as the elevation gradually decreases from there. We will be encountered with the beautiful village of Marpha known by the name of Apple Garden. We will then be following an easy trail to Jomsom and stay there for overnight.

From Jomsom, we will be flying to POkhara in an early morning flight to avoid any sort of weather disturbances. However, we need to be flexible for the change of plan as there can be unexpected weather conditions and other circumstances. It will be a short and scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. We will be exploring and resting at the beautiful city of Pokhara today.

Finally today, we will be heading back to the city of temples by hopping on a private vehicle. It will take us approximately about five to six hours to reach there. USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Dhampus Peak Climbing. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak. Altitude may range up to 6000 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Dhampus Peak Climbing, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 2nd day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Dhampus Peak Climbing as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Dhampus Peak Climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in Dhampus Peak climbing route tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Dhampus Peak Climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Dhampus Peak Climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Dhampus Peak Climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
