After early morning breakfast, we take the early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Flight time is about 35 minutes. We start the trek by dropping towards the Dudh Kosi River, where we join the principal trail to Namche Bazaar, simply above Chauri Kharka at 2713m. The strolling is simple and in the wake of going through the little town of Ghat at 2550m, it's a short stroll to Phakding.

We start the present trek on a simple path to Phunki Thanga. From here we rise towards Tengboche town which is home to the biggest religious community in the Everest district. Today the trek is composed of comparatively longer hours than that of the other day. We will leave Dingboche in order to reach the beautiful town of Lobuche gracefully sitting at an elevation of 4,930 meters. But before we reach Lobuche, we shall meet Thukla and Top of it which is profoundly known for being the memorial of famous climbers of mountaineers who died during their Everest Summiting Journey. Lobuche will be our destination for bed rest for the night.

On this eighth day of our wonderful trek, we will be facing some ups and downs as we chase the broad valley which runs parallel to the Khumbu glacier. We will be leaving for Gorak Shep after our amazing breakfast at Lobuche. We will be making our way through a series of short ascents and descents over rocky trails as we reach the moraines of the Changri Nup Glacier eventually leading us to Gorak Shep’s glacial sands. We will be enjoying our lunch here at Gorak Shep and later in the afternoon, we will be making our way to reaching Everest Base camp is indeed a dream come true. However, one cannot ignore the fact about its challenges as well. One needs to strive quite harder than on other days to reach the base Camp. But once we are there, everything will be worth it. Since one cannot stay at the Base Camp, we will be heading back to Gorak shep the same day.

We head for Kala Patthar very early in the morning as a very early start is required. The trail weaves way through ice pinnacles and past the crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier which can take several hours. We can pause to catch our breath at several outstanding viewpoints to snap pictures as we ascent to Kalapathar. We then scramble to climb the rocky outcrop near the summit marked by cairns and prayer flags. As we sit on the Kalapathar rocks, our eyes take in the unbelievable Himalayan Panorama, wandering from one mighty massif to another. We will return to Dzongla for the night including full board meals.

We shall start today’s trek very early in the morning so that we can minimize the challenge of strong wind that we can face on our way to Chola Pass and Thangnak. The start of the day’s trek is simple, however, we will be faced with a steep path as we further extend our steps. We shall be moving left to the Cho La Glacier which is high above while descending towards the beautiful debris which is covered in snow. Today will be perhaps the hardest day of our trekking. It can be a tough ascent reaching Cho La Pass at 5,368m, however, the journey is mesmerizing with the views of peaks like Baruntse and Ama Dablam from the top. We will be descending down from the west side of Cho La Pass followed by the path of boulders which can be a little challenging but equally amazing. We then reach the normal path which will then connect with Thangnak, a somewhat increasingly significant village with a little town where we bunk out for the late evening including full board dinners.

Today, after having our early morning breakfast, our path takes us to the Ngozumpa glacier edge after a short stroll, which is the longest glacier in Nepal, and then we will be passing by some small glacial lakes. Today’s journey will be amazing with the astounding views of the Gokyo Valley. We get views of the second of the Gokyo lakes on the series of six lakes as we arrive at the other side of the Glacier. On the edge of this lake stands the Gokyo Village where we at long last give our worn-out bones a well-earned rest. We bunk out for the night at this flawless town of Gokyo including full board suppers.

You can enjoy the sights of Thonak Tsho Lake which is the fourth Gokyo lake and also the Ngozuma Thso lake known for being the fifth Gokyo Lake. We can certainly enjoy the gorgeous views of the turquoise-colored water of the shining lake. Moreover, we can climb the slope and get stunning perspectives on Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Gyachung Kang, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. Makalu.

We will be leaving Gokyo after having our breakfast and make our way to Dole after the exploration of the Gokyo Valley and Gokyo Lakes. Today, we will be conducting the six to seven-hour Trek to Dole while enjoying the perspectives of mountains like Thamserku as well as Kangtega. Then we will be descending to a ridge from Khumbila, which is said to be the residence of the patron God of the Khumbu region. We shall make our way through rhododendron forest, kharkas, and different settlements as we make our path to Dole through the village of Machermo where we will be having lunch with the path being mostly downhill with various ups and downs. Then we slowly descend down to Dole where we will be spending our night.

On the eighteenth day, we shall be making our way through Phortse Tenga to reach Namche through a trek of five to six hours. We shall be rewarded with the magnificent views of mountains like Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, AmaDablam, Kantega, and Thamserku. From Phorste Tenga, we shall extend our steps to the beautiful village of Monglaat 3,980m. Then we will continue our descent until we reach Namche Bazaar where we will be staying for the night.

This is the final day that requires our trekking endeavor. The day demands a walk of about seven hours to Lukla from Namche Bazar which is guided by the enormous Dudh Koshi River which leads us down to Lukla. Our overnight stay at Lukla shall be the perfect opportunity for us to have some refreshment in the form of a farewell party.

Finally, on the twentieth day, we will be heading back to Kathmandu on a flight from Lukla which is mostly scheduled early morning to avoid the strong winds. It is a flight lasting for about forty-five minutes which includes various gorgeous scenarios. As we land down in Kathmandu, we will be transferred to our hotel. But please do consider the fact that sometimes the flight can be delayed or canceled in the mountain regions of this type due to unpredictable weather conditions and other reasons beyond our control.
