The 10 days Everest Kongde Heli trek venture begins as you are welcomed to the land of the Kathmandu; one can view the majestic Himalayas and the gorgeous terraced fields. There the pace is followed by a full day exploration to the three sacred sites like the Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and the Patan Durbar Square. This day does not overload the time where you are able to maximize your time in the Kathmandu. Although most people tend to spend an hour, you can spend as much as you prefer at each temple as this tour is private for you. At one of our recommended local restaurants, you will stop for lunch. Out from an astonishing morning, after an early breakfast we head towards Lukla on steep mountain runway where we can begin our hike.

We then precede our hike towards the Dudh Koshi River where we stay for an overnight in the Phakding on a well-marked trail as a part of the Everest Kongde Heli hike. We get from Phakding and we then are on our trail to Namche Bazaar, which is the village of essence for the Sherpas. Namche Bazaar used to be tiny village but has grown in a size to be fitted in the inflow of the trekkers and is now the informal capital of the Sherpas. Namche Bazaar is mostly open to the catering for the needs of the trekkers. Also known as the Museum of the Sherpa Culture internationally which is close to your lodge, there are the traditional villages of the Khumjung and the Kunde, and these places are highly recommended. We then will head towards from the Namche to the Thame. We then ascend through the forests of the pine, bamboo to reach at the Kongde Peak where we get to see the peaks of the Ama Dablam, Everest and the Lhotse. Including four of the six highest peaks from the Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and Everest we are treated to the majestic sight of the entire Khumbu Valley while acclimatizing at the Kongde. Today after an early breakfast, you will be picked at the Kongde instead of trekking back all the way, between the Himalayas in a private Helicopter tour. One shall get amazing sights of the peaks like the Kantega 6,782m, Thamserku 6,623m, Lhotse 8,516m, Nuptse 7,861m and theAma Dablam 6,812mYou will be moved to your hotel upon the arrival in Kathmandu where you can relish and rest in the afternoon. Today is the first day as you are welcomed to the land of the Kathmandu; one can view the majestic Himalayas and the gorgeous terraced fields. You will be greeted and welcomed by the representative of the Nepal Nomad and will be guided though the beautiful winding streets and the culture of the Kathmandu.

Once you are adjusted, we can begin with the beautiful Kathmandu Durbar Square for the exploration, we walk through the ancient temple that has a lot to do with the history, local restaurants and of course the alleyways teeming with the small shops. The perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley is the White Stupa and the Swayambhunath.

Later in the evening, one can head towards the Thamel which is a tourist hub and a good place to grab the first meal which includes restaurants offering both the local and Western Dishes.

For a full day exploration to the three sacred sites like the Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and the Patan Durbar Square, you will be picked by an English Speaking Guide.

This day does not overload the time where you are able to maximize your time in the Kathmandu. Out from an astonishing morning, after an early breakfast we head towards Lukla on steep mountain runway where we can begin our hike. Keep your camera close to get a window seat on the left hand side of the plane. On clear days with the majestic views of the Himalayas, the flight will take you in and between the mountains. Through the local villages, you will hike for the brief distance to the local villages. Allowing one to get used to the higher elevation, having an easy first day is intentional. We then precede our hike towards the Dudh Koshi River where we stay for an overnight in the Phakding on a well-marked trail.

We get from Phakding and we then are on our trail to Namche Bazaar, which is the village of essence for the Sherpas. Namche Bazaar is mostly open to the catering for the needs of the trekkers. Namche Bazaar once was a trading center on the route from Tibet to Nepal despite the fact Namche still follows the tradition of a happening hospitality. You will get comfortably acclimatize as you spend two night in or around Namche.

Out from crossing couple of bridges we head towards the suspension bridges where we cross over the DudhKoshi River. There is entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park just below the village of Monjo which was set for the preservation for the fragile mountains environment (your fees will be covered by the Guides). One can get the first glimpse of the mountains if the weather is clear. One will arrive at the Sherpa capital of the Namche Bazaar, after a steep of the 40-60 minutes of ascend.

Also known as the Museum of the Sherpa Culture internationally which is close to your lodge, there are the traditional villages of the Khumjung and the Kunde, and these places are highly recommended for the half excursion. With the bird’s eye view over the Namche across the valley to the serrated crest of the Kongde range, there is a majestic peak of the Thamserku which rises as the backdrop. There is a fantastic view of the AmaDableam which is one of the beautiful peaks of Nepal, and of Everest and Lhotse.

Today is one of the rest days to sleep and relax. Tucked away from between the two crest and the high peaks of the Khumbhu where there are tea shops, souvenir markets etc. It is definitely one of the great places to spend for acclimatization.

Built by the Sir Edmund Hillary, today we head towards the Khunde Hospital or suggest you to take a one hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel for astonishing peaks like the Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest and Ama Dablam where we can see the majestic sights from the Sherpa Culture Museum.

On day six, we march towards Thame which is a short hike. There we will do some explorations and continue the process of acclimatization with slower steps. We stay at an elevation of 3,820 meters for the night.

Following the path on the south side of the Bhote Koshi River through the fine village of the Pare, we have two challenging trekking days where we start with our descent of 30 minutes.

We then ascend through the forests of the pine, bamboo to reach at the Kongde Peak where we get to see the peaks of the Ama Dablam, Everest and the Lhotse. One is unlikely to see this many trekkers on the new path made for the Yeti Mountain Home Lodge. For the next two nights in Kongde we check into our accommodation. The lodge has spectacular as it is located at the 13,943 feet with amazing view of the valley to Namche. With the sunset on the world’s highest peak out of the window, the restaurant bar serves delicious cuisine where one can relish this view.

At Kongde, one can accommodate into this lodge and then relish for one of the amazing sight for panoramic sight of the complete Khumbu region and the peaks like the Ama Dablam and the Everest.

We have an early start to see the best sights for those who prefer to make trip to the FarakRi which is at an altitude of the 5000m. To reach the top of this viewpoint peaks, it will take us about two to three hours. Including four of the six highest peaks from the Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and Everest we are treated to the majestic sight of the entire Khumbu Valley. With the beautiful sights of the Khumjung village and the Namche, we take a lunch and acclimatize for further walks and relaxation.
