Itinerary

Today marks as your first day when you set your steps in the country through the capital. Your stay has been managed and our office member will pick you up and then, get you there to your accommodation with the pre-trip meeting notice.

Day 2 will be spent on Kathmandu and in a fruitful way with some sightseeing around the gorgeous heritages of the city like Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath temple, Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhhanath and others. Our touring guide will be there to save you from any sorts of foreign trouble.

Today we will move as we pass through Dhunche through a drive from Kathmandu while heading all the way to Syabru Besi at 2000 meters of height where we will be resting our first night out of the valley before beginning our next day’s trek.

Today is the first day we start trekking as we make our way through the amazing Bhote Koshi River in order to reach Lama Hotel from Syabru Besi. Lama Hotel is situated at 2,748 meters and we will be walking for five hours or less to get there.

Passing through Thangshep Village, we reach Langatng village at last. However, before that we make our way through some forests and Ghodatabels, walking for total of four hours to reach an elevation of 3500 meters where Langtang Village situates at.

Four hours of total walk from the Langtang village and we reach Kyanjing Gompa for our sixth night’s stay at an elevation of 3800 meters. We will be leaving Langtang Village after the breakfast and catch the trails for Kyanjing Gompa.

Day seven is for resting purpose as we acclimatize and conduct a few explorations while still staying at the Gompa.

Today we descend back to the Lama Hotel and the duration to reach back to the Lama Hotel is about 5 – 6 hrs. We will have our lunch and progress the descent to the Lama Hotel and stay for an overnight at the accommodation

Today we begin our trek to Thulo Syabru out from the Lama Hotel as we take steep ascent travel, we progress our travel to the pine forests and the rhododendron cluster. We then ultimately reach to the Thulo Syabru descending from the forest through the Pairo. We might get chance to see some wild lives including red pandas, Himalayan Black Bears, Langur monkeys etc. We stay for an overnight at the tea house at the Thulo Syabru.

It takes about six hours to reach at the Sing Gomba from the Thulo Syabru. Today we visit an ancient monastery in the area where we get to learn and understand more Buddhist Culture at the Sing Gomba which has an altitude of about 3330m. It takes about 6 hrs to reach to this place from the Thulo Syabru by walking.

Out from the Sing Gomba, we ascend progressively to the Gosaikunda Lake which has the altitude of about 4380m. It takes about 5 hrs to reach there out from the monastery as we head out to the gorgeous Gosaikunda Lake. The trail winds up with the elevation gain above 4000 meters from the sea level. The path brings us closer to the astounding destinations from the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and the Langtang range. We ultimately reach to the Gosaikunda which is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for the Hindus. We forget the high altitude when we reach to this amazing atmosphere.

Out from the Gosaikunda Lake, we descend down to the Tharepati which winds to the 7 hrs of trek to the rough path. The trek head down through the rhododendron forests and melamchigaun village.

From the Tharepati, we will head to the Tarkeghyang which is at the altitude of about 2600m. With the six hours of trekking we will reach to the place. The path unwinds through beautiful lush green forest and then amazing sight of the place. We will stay for an overnight at the Tarkeghyang.

Out from the Tarkeghyang, today we head to our designation to the Sermathang which takes about 5 hrs of trekking after an early breakfast. In the late afternoon we will reach to the designation and then we will be staying at the accommodation in the afternoon.

From the Sermathang, we gradually descent to the Melamchi Bazaar which is at the altitude of about 870m and then head towards to the Kathmandu which is then later takes about 4 hrs more of the trekking and then 2 hrs of bus then we finally reach at the Kathmandu where we will stay for an overnight.

Today is the final day so you can relax until your departure or you can also initiate any supplementary trips or activities that you may have booked. In case of departure, you will be transferred to the international airport for fight back home.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

It’s enough as long as you are in good health to join this trek as any beginner can be a part of it.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

It’s a meeting we hold before the beginning of the actual trek, so that everything is managed with proper caution and care and we have a good nomadic bonding.

Equipment Check List:

Making the heaviness within 20 kg, the given equipment are known better to be considered on a trek;

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

Upper Body:-

Hands: - gloves that are Lightweight - Heavyweight gloves or mittens with a waterproof shell outer.

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

A typical day:

A normal trekking or hiking day looks like this;

Accommodation:

Gosaikunda Lake Helambu Trekking, like any other trekking in the Himalayas, is not very content in the resources of lodging. So it’s necessary to keep the expectations limited and prepare oneself for adjustments.

Insurance:

For Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Helambu Trekking includes, you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations and trip cancellation insurances.

Altitude Sickness:

As long as it is on our control, we do exercises and acclimatize to avoid any symptoms of the sickness..

Meals:

On Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Helambu Trekking, three meals will be available daily on a complete board basis for three times a day.
