Welcome to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. You may arrive at Kathmandu at any time, day or night. One of our office’s men will be waiting for you at the airport with the office vehicle and will take the responsibility to transfer you to your hotel. After your refreshment you will be picked from your hotel and visit our office located to Thamel where the pre briefing will be discussed, and you will be officially introduced to our tour guide. We will explain you every details and the documents that will be needed so that we can organize permits required for your tour.

Today, we explore Kathmandu Valley and its world Heritage sites. Accompanied by the English speaking guide (will provide other language speaking guide on request) will take you to the tour of Nepali culture, beauty and its History. We will visit Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Bouddhanath Stupa also known as the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world which is located at eastern edge of the Kathmandu valley. Bouddhanath main attraction is its tremendous hemispherical white Stupa with central golden tour. Visitors in Bouddhanath circle the Stupa in clockwise direction and spin prayer wheels for good fortune and blessings.

Pashupatinath Temple is the biggest Hindu Temple located at the banks of Holy Bagmati River of the Kathmandu Valley. Very old and complex structures of buildings and holy places, Pashupatinath is committed to Lord shiva, one of the principles gods of Hinduism. Here we will see Hindu blessed men (sadhus) and explorers performing ritual bathing and infrequent funeral pyres burning on the ghats. The cremation site is here used by the royal family and for the simple man living next door.

Swayambhunath Temple also known as the monkey temple is located at the northwest of the Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath sits at the top high hill overlooking the Kathmandu and its entire valley. Swayambhunath is also the most visited holy Buddhist site of Nepal. Exceedingly steep stone that lead up to the place of worship is a serious test. Set aside the effort to appreciate the view over Kathmandu and have your guide call attention to the numerous different highlights of the city.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is the beautiful old royal palace of the former Kathmandu kingdom which is now UNESCO World heritage sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square is surrounded by tremendous architecture and distinctively shows the skill of Newar artists and craftsmen.

Today we will take a 25-minute picturesque flight to Pokhara. In the wake of landing, we take a jeep ride to Kimche by means of Nayapul, which takes around 3 hours to reach. From Kimche, we start our short trek to Ghandruk rising on stone strides through the forested way while savoring the excellent view out of sight. Ghandruk is the biggest Gurung town in the Annapurna area where we get the chance to encounter the Gurung culture, custom, and way of life. From Ghandruk, we can get a shocking perspective on Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.

Today after having a hot breakfast, abandoning the wonderful Ghandruk town, we trek to Tadapani rising through the forested way loaded up with rhododendron and oak trees. Tuning in to the tweeting of birds and savoring the perspective on little cascades and mountains like the Annapurna run, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli en route, we reach in Tadapani, which offers dazzling nightfall and sunrise scenes.

Today, we rise through thick woodlands loaded up with rhododendrons, pines, and oaks that lead us over the tree line to an astounding perspective on the Annapurna run. We keep on gradually rise through rhododendron woodlands which take us to Meshar Danda pursued by Isharu. Today we drop steeply through the slope and remember the path back to Chistibung. Subsequent to dropping for one and half hour, the path plummets steeply through thick woods until we reach Ratmate. Today we trek to Ghorepani diving through terraced fields to a little waterway. We additionally get the opportunity to investigate the nearby water plant. USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Khopra Danda trekking. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Khopra Danda trekking, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Khopra Danda trekking as well as introduce yourself to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Khopra Danda trekking, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Khopra Danda trekking tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Khopra Danda trekking includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Khopra Danda trekking is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Khopra Danda trekking, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
