The 22 days Langshisa Ri Peak climb will certainly bring you chills down your spine while on the journey and after its accomplishment as well. Though this Langshisa Ri Peak trek and climb is challenging, it is equally gratifying as well. As you land on the Tribhuwan International airport, our team member will pick you up and escort you all the way to your accommodations. You can get refreshed and conduct short walks around the narrow and cozy streets of Kathmandu. Then, a delicious Nepali Cuisine dinner will be waiting for you which is followed by discussions regarding the whole journey.

On the second day, we will be preparing all the essentials for our Langshisa Ri adventure and seize the opportunity by going on a sightseeing in the beautiful city. Our guide will escort you around various heritage sites providing you with all the important details of the places. Some of the heritage sites enlisted in the UNESCO’s world heritage list include Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath and some other historically integral sites. Later, we will again have a trip briefing session and we are required to be fully prepared for our upcoming journey

Today, we will be heading towards Syabrubesi from Kathmandu on a drive. We will be making our way though different villages including Nuwakot and then finally touch the district of Rasuwa. We will be driving through the Langtang National Park along the way and then conclude our drive after reaching Syabrubesi situated at an elevation of 1,460m. We will be staying overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day fourth is our first day of trekking in which we will be heading towards Lama Hotel situated at an elevation of 2,240 meters. It will take us about six hours of walk to reach Lama Hotel where we will be staying for the night. We will be crossing various bridges over the Bhote Koshi River which will further lead our way towards small villages of Tamang community. Lama Hotel is situated near Upper Trishuli with a beautiful surrounding of forest.

We will be heading towards Langtang village on the fifth day of our adventure. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach an elevation of 3,430 meters. Along the way, we will be passing dense forest blooming with rhododendrons and get accompanied by glorious mountains like Langtang Lirung. We will be having our overnight stay at Langtang village.

On the sixth day, our destination is Kyanjin Gompa situated at an elevation of 3,850 meters. We will be heading for Kyanjin Gompa after having a warm breakfast at Langtang Village. It is likely to take us four hours to gether as we make our way through lush green vegetations and scenic mountain views while facing various ups and downs.

The seventh day has been selected for resting and acclimatization purpose. However, you can use this opportunity to explore the amazing Kyanjin Gompa by conducting visits to its monasteries and other surroundings while getting accompanied by the views of mountain peaks like Kimshun, Naya-Kang, Langtang Lirung, Langtang II and some other astounding peaks.

After gaining the required rest and acclimatization, we will be heading for Numthang which is situated at an elevation of 3,050 meters. We will be moving through grasslands and cross the beautiful Langtang Khola along the way. We will be settling our camp after reaching Numthang and stay there for the night.

From Numthang, we will make our way towards Langshisa Kharka which is situated at an elevation of 4,160 meters. We will reach the Kharka after about four hours of walk. We will undertake our steps along with the motivating company of mountains like Urkimang, Langshisa Ri and Dorje Lakpa. We will be staying overnight at Langshisa Kharka.

On the tenth day, we will be moving forward to Langshisa Base Camp which brings us even more close to the Langshisa Ri Peak. We will be walking for about four hours to reach an elevation of 4,180 meters. The Base Camp is situated right between Langtang Himal and Langshisa Glacieer which makes it even more wondrous.

The eleventh day is for rest and acclimatization before extending our steps towards an extremely higher altitude. We need to be prepared for any upcoming challenges for which this day is a must. Today, we will be practicing the use of gears and all the climbing techniques which are required to be kept in mind while undertaking the summit.

The twelfth day is for flexibility in our trekking and climbing plan due to unavoidable circumstances of weather or other unforeseen situations. This day will be used in case we have to postpone our plan of moving towards the High Camp. But if everything goes according to our plan, this day won’t be used.

On the thirteenth day, we head for the High Camp and get closer to summiting the Langshisa Ri Peak. It will take us about three hours to reach the High Camp situated at an elevation of 5,180 meters. After reaching the high camp, our climbing team will settle the tent for our overnight stay and prepare all the equipments for climbing. A short practice session will be conducted before we summit the peak the following day.

Finally on the fourteenth day, we will be climbing the Langshisa Ri peak very early in the morning to avoid any harsh weather situations. You will be following the instructions of our professional climbing guide who will be leading the way. There will be the involvement of climbing through glaciated moraine of rocks and Ice. It will indeed be a surreal feeling to be standing on the top of Langshisa Ri Peak at an elevation of 6,427 meters, the accomplishment of which certainly deserves some celebrations. We will be rewarded with the glorious views of mystical landscapes, gracious valleys and magnificent mountain peaks like Mt. Shisapangma.

The fifteenth day has been separated for cleaning and packing. As a traveler, it is our duty to clean up our mess and leave no trace except for our footprints. So today, we will be cleaning the Base Camp, dry our clothes and pack our stuffs.

Today, we will be heading back to Numthang. We will be retracing our journey back to the valley of Langtang as our trekking and climbing adventure is going to incline towards its end. It is likely to take us about six hours to reach Numthang where we will be staying for the night.

After an early morning breakfast at Numthang, we will further head back to Kyanjin Gompa situated at the height of 3,850 meters which is likely to take us about five hours of walk. We will be following an icy path along the way towards Kyanjin gompa. We will be staying overnight at kyanjin Gompa.

Today, Lama Hotel will be our destination. We will be walking to reach an elevation of 2,240 which will probably take us about seven hours to reach. We will be passing through the dense forest while being mesmerized with the graciously flowing sound of Upper Trishuli river.

This is our final day of trekking in which we will be heading back to Syabrubesi village situated at the height of 1,460 meters which is likely to take us about five hours. We will be passing through pastures and various fields. We will be staying overnight at Syabrubesi village.

Today, we will be heading back to where it all started; to the city of temples. It will take us about six to seven hours to reach Kathmandu, so we will be getting on an early morning drive. The remaining day in Kathmandu can be used by exploring the unseen sights.

Finally the day has come to bid our goodbyes. It’s time for you to head back home but we are hopeful that it’s not our last adventure together. We will be looking forward for more adventure with you. However, today, our team member will escort you all the way to the airport.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Langshisa Ri Peak Climb. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak. Altitude may range up to 6000 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Langshisa Ri Peak Climb, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 2nd day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Langshisa Ri Peak Climb as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

Upper Body:-

As for the upper body’s shirts – Hiking and light weight thermal tops - Fleece jacket or pullover - Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional) - Waterproof shell jacket - Down vest and/or jacket - Base layer shirts - Warm jacket (down)*

Hands: - gloves that are Lightweight - Heavyweight gloves or mittens with a waterproof shell outer.

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

Toiletries:- 1 medium sized quick drying towel - Tooth brush/paste - Multipurpose soap - Deodorants - Nail clippers - Face and body moisturizer - Feminine products - Small mirror - Wet wipes - toilet roll/Tissue Extras - Antibacterial hand wash

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Langshisa Ri Peak Climb, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in Langshisa Ri Peak Climb tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Chulu Far East Peak Climb includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of Langshisa Ri Peak Climb is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Langshisa Ri Peak Climb, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
