The 15 days Naya kang Peak climb takes you on a journey of a serene adventure where you are accompanied with mystical landscapes and glorious snowcapped mountain peaks like Mt. Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak and some others. The Naya kang peak climb and trek is indeed going to be a challenging yet marvelous adventure. Along your Nayakang peak trekking journey, you will be crossing the Ganjala pass which is situated at an altitude of 5,122 meters which leads you all the way to the beautiful existence of the Helambu Valley. While crossing the pass, you will certainly be gratified with the gracious views of astounding Himalayas like Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and other majestic mountain peaks over an elevation of 5500 meters. After your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our office members will be there to pick you up and will be drove to your respective hotel. Today, after you get refreshed at your hotel, you can take short strolls in the streets of Kathmandu.

Today on the very second day, our program will be sightseeing of Kathmandu valley temples. We will be touring the famous Swaymbunath stupa also known as Monkey temple, the scared temple Pashupatinath, Bouddhnath stupa and the center of the Kathmandu, the Kathmandu durbar square famously known as Basantapur Durbar square. We will also be seeing the living goddess Kumari who dwells in her Kumari Ghar. The historical stories of all the places will be briefly discussed by your tour guide.

Today, after having our morning breakfast in Kathmandu, we drive for Syabru Bensi in our private vehicle which is likely to take us about seven hours to reach. Along the way, we will get to see the changing picturesque landscapes and beautifully flowing rivers. We will be staying overnight at Syabru bensi village found to be situated at an elevation of 1,462 meters.

On the fourth day, we begin our trek from Syabru Besi after having an early morning breakfast there and head for Lama Hotel. It will take us about five hours of walk to reach Lama Hotel which is situated at an elevation of 2,470 meters. We will be moving through beautiful forests of pines and bamboo. You will get to observe the beautiful view of bee hives hanging on a cliff. Facing various ups and downs, we will be getting to Lama Hotel where we will be staying for the night.

Today, we will be heading for the Langtang village situated at an elevation of 3,430 meters which is likely to take us about six hours of walk. We will be moving through the beautiful forests of conifer, oak and rhododendron. If the weather is clear, we will get to see an astounding view of the magnificent Langatnag Lirung. Entrance checks are carried out by military where we will be paying our entrance fees in order to make our way through the beautiful Langatang National Park. We will be staying overnight in Langtang Village.

On the sixth day of our climbing and trekking adventure, we will be leaving Langatnag Village and head towards Kyanjin Gompa. It will take us approximately about three hours of walk to reach an elevation of 3,870 meters. On our way, we will be crossing the gracious Laja Khola which leads us to a viewpoint which gives us a beautiful view of Kyanjin Gompa and the icefall coming down from Kinshung and Langatang Lirung. Then it is followed by a trail descending down to Kyanjin Gompa. We will be staying overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

As this is a technical climbing and trekking adventure, acclimatization is a must. And for that purpose, we separate the seventh day as for rest at Kyanjing Gompa. You can seize the opportunity for a short hike to Tscheurkuri peak.

Today, we will be moving towards Naya Kang Kharka after taking proper rest at Kyanjin Gompa. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach Naya Kang Kharka which is situated at an elevation of 4100 meters. We will be crossing the Langtang Khola as we follow the trails and then pass through a forest decorated with rhododendrons. We can see beautiful yak caravans as we begin getting nearer to Naya Kang Kharka. We will be staying overnight here at Ngegang which is the base camp of Nayakang peak.

On the ninth day, we will be extending our trek towards Naya Kang High Camp which is situated at an elevation of 4,960 meters. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach the High Camp. We will be facing steep ascent and it indeed can be a little challenging to reach Naya Kang High camp. We will be trekking along the rocky and icy glacier. No matter the challenge, we will be stunned with the view of Langtang Lirung, Ganchenpo peak, Tserko ri, Yansi Tsenji, Kibgyu Ri, peak and some other peaks form the High Camp. We will be staying overnight at High Camp.

Finally on the tenth day, our climbing adventure begins. With all the equipments which were settled a day before, we will be ascending the glorious Naya Kang Peak. You will be following the direction of our professionally experienced climbing guide. With the use of ropes and ice-axe along with other mountain climbing equipment, we will summit the peak and begin the climb very early in the morning since we will need to head back to Naya Kang Kharka Base Camp on the same day

Today, we will be having our early morning breakfast at Ngegang Kharka and then head for the Kyangjin Gompa Village. It will take us about four hours to reach Kyangjin Gompa from Ngengang Kharka. We will be descending downhill today as the elevation starts declining the further we trek towards Kyanjin Gompa via Langtang Khola. We will be staying overnight at Kyangjin Gompa.

We will be heading to Lama Hotel from Kyangjin Gompa after an early morning breakfast. We will move, following the Langtang Khola as we retrace our route from Kyanjin Gompa. We will be staying overnight at Lama Hotel.

Today, we will be heading back to Syabru Besi where our trekking and climbing journey began. We will be moving while enjoying the views of green hills and amazing landscapes at the same time. It is likely to take us about 5 hours to reach there. We will be spending our night at Syabru Besi where we can certainly celebrate and enjoy the accomplishment of this amazing Nayakang peak climbing adventure.

Finally on the fourteenth day, we will be heading back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. You can take the remaining time to explore some parts of the Kathmandu city. Today will be your last day at Kathmandu before the departure. It is likely to take us seven hours to reach Kathmandu where we will officially conclude the trip through some celebrations and discussions of the experience.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

Since Nayakang Peak is a very technical trekking and climbing peak, one must have a previous mountaineering experience and must be physically fit. There may be more difficult routes and altitude may range up to 5500 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Before starting our Nayakang Peak Climbing, we hold a Pre-Trip meeting where you will be introduced to your climbing guide and other crew members that are going along with you. This day is a good opportunity for you to ask any queries related to the trip.

Equipment Check List:

We have prepared some basic equipment list and they are listed below: The most important thing that you should note is your trekking nag should not weight more than 20 kilograms.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

Upper Body:-

As for the upper body’s shirts – Hiking and light weight thermal tops - Fleece jacket or pullover - Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional) - Waterproof shell jacket - Down vest and/or jacket - Base layer shirts - Warm jacket (down)*

A typical day:

Our usual day will start at 6.30 am after a morning breakfast. After breakfast we will be ready to start our journey to the naya kang peak. After hiking for 3-4 hours we will stop for a lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day.

Accommodation:

While at the Nayakang Peak Climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Everest three high pass treks tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Nayakang Peak Climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Nayakang Peak Climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Nayakang Peak Climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
