The 15 days Nayakang Peak climb takes you on a journey of a serene adventure where you are accompanied with mystical landscapes and glorious snowcapped mountain peaks like Mt. Our team member will be there to pick you up at the airport after your arrival. You will be drove to your respective accommodation in a private vehicle. Today, after you get refreshed at your hotel, you can take short walks in the streets of Kathmandu. Then you will be welcomed with a delicious Nepali cuisine dinner as we conduct short discussions on the program.

On the second day of the trekking trip, you will be provided with an opportunity to explore and observe the beautiful city of temples known by the name of Kathmandu. Our tour guide will escort you around the city and its various heritages, some of which have even been listed in the world heritage sites like the Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath stupa, Basantapur Durbar square and some other amazing sites. This will be our final day at Kathmandu before the trek.

We will have discussions where you can present any of your queries about the amazing journey that lies ahead of us. You will be staying overnight in your accommodation at Kathmandu.

Today, after having our morning breakfast in Kathmandu, we drive for Syabrubensi in our private vehicle which is likely to take us about seven hours to reach. Along the way, we will get to see the changing picturesque landscapes and beautifully flowing rivers. We will be staying overnight at Syabrubensi village found to be situated at an elevation of 1,462 meters.

On the fourth day, we begin our trek from Syabru Besi after having an early morning breakfast there and head for Lama Hotel. It will take us about five hours of walk to reach Lama Hotel which is situated at an elevation of 2,470 meters. We will be moving through beautiful forests of pines and bamboo. You will get to observe the beautiful view of bee hives hanging on a cliff. Facing various ups and downs, we will be getting to Lama Hotel where we will be staying for the night.

Today, we will be heading for the Langtang village situated at na elevation of 3,430 meters which is likely to take us about six hours of walk. We will be moving through the beautiful forests of conifer, oak and rhododendron. If the weather is celar, we will get to see an astounding view of the magnificent Langatnag Lirung. Entrance checks are carried out by military where we will be paying our entrance fees in order to make our way through the beautiful Langatang National Park. We will be staying overnight in Langtang Village.

On the sixth day of our climbing and trekking adventure, we will be leaving Langatnag Village and head towards Kyanjin Gompa. It will take us apporoximately about three hours of walk to reach an elevation of 3,870 meters. On our way, we will be crossing the gracious Laja Khola which leads us to a viewpoint which gives us a beautiful view of Kyanjin Gompa and the icefall coming down from Kinshung and Langatang Lirung. Then it is followed by a trail descending down to Kyanjin Gompa. We will be staying overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

As this is a technical climbing and trekking adventure, acclimatization is a must. And for that purpose, we separate the seventh day as for rest at Kyanjing Gompa. You can seize the opportunity for a short hike to Tscheurkuri peak.

Today, we will be moving towards Ngegang Kharka after taking proper rest at Kyanjin Gompa. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach Ngegang Kharka which is situated at an elevation of 4100 meters. We will be crossing the Langtang Khola as we follow the trails and then pass through a forest decorated with rhododendrons. We can see beautiful yak caravans as we begin getting nearer to Ngegang Kharka. We will be staying overnight here at Ngegang which is the base camp of Nayakang peak.

On the ninth day, we will be extending our trek towards Naya Kang High Camp which is situated at an elevation of 4,960 meters. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach the High Camp. We will be facing steep ascent and it indeed can be a little challenging to reach Naya Kang High camp. We will be trekking along the rocky and icy glacier. No matter the challenge, we will be stunned with the view of Langtang Lirung, Ganchenpo peak, Tserko ri, Yansi Tsenji, Kibgyu Ri, peak and some other peaks form the High Camp. We will be staying overnight at High Camp.

Finally on the tenth day, our climbing adventure begins. With all the equipments which were settled a day before, we will be ascending the glorious Naya Kang Peak. You will be following the direction of our professionally experienced climbing guide. With the use of ropes and ice-axe along with other mountain climbing equipments, we will summit the peak and begin the climb very early in the morning since we will need to head back to Ngegang Kharka Base Camp on the same day

Today, we will be having our early morning breakfast at Ngegang Kharka and then head for the Kyangjin Gompa Village. It will take us about four hours to reach Kyangjin Gompa from Ngengang Kharka. We will be descending downhill today as the elevation starts declining the further we trek towards Kyanjin Gompa via Langtang Khola. We will be staying overnight at Kyangjin Gompa..

We will be heading to Lama Hotel from Kyangjin Gompa after an early morning breakfast. It is likely to take us about seven hours to reach. We will move, following the Langtang Khola as we retrace our route from Kyanjin Gompa. We will be staying overnight at Lama Hotel.

Today, we will be heading back to Syabrubesi where our trekking and climbing journey began. We will be moving while enjoying the views of green hills and amazing landscapes at the same time. It is likely to take us about 5 hours to reach there. We will be spending our night at Syabru Besi where we can certainly celebrate and enjoy the accomplishment of this amazing Nayakang peak climbing adventure.

Finally on the fourteenth day, we will be heading back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. You can take the remaining time to explore some parts of the Kathmandu city. Today will be your last day at Kathmandu before the departure. It is likely to take us seven hours to reach Kathmandu where we will officially conclude the trip through some celebrations and discussions of the experience.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Nayakang Peak Climbing. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak. Altitude may range up to 5000-5500 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Nayakang Peak Climbing, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 2nd day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Nayakang Peak Climbing as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Nayakang Peak Climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Everest three high pass treks tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Nayakang Peak Climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Nayakang Peak Climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Nayakang Peak Climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
