Our team member will be ready to pick you up after you land at Tribhuvan international airport. Then you will be escorted to your accommodations. After you freshen up, you can stroll around the beautiful streets of Thamel and later, you will be welcomed with delicious Nepali Cuisine dinner made up of pure Nepali ingredients. We will be planning further about the trek and discussions shall be carried. You can ask any questions and gather more informations if you feel like to. You will be staying overnight at Kathmandu.

After being refreshed with the early morning breakfast, our professional guide will tour you around the city. You can seize the opportunity to visit various different heritages, some of which are even listen as the world heritage site like Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayambhu and some others. You will be mind blown with the beautifully crafted temples with amazing architecture. You can probably explore the local lifestyle along with religious norms and values of the people of Kathmandu through a visit to Basantapur Durbar square. This would be our final day at Kathmandu before the trek. We will be preparing for your trekking permit and other required essentials. You will be staying at Kathmandu for the night.

From Kathmandu, we will be heading for Shigati on a private vehicle which will approximately take us about six to seven hours. We will be staying overnight at Shigati as we spend the remaining day on exploring the beautiful Shigati standing at an elevation of 950 meters.

We will begin moving towards Jagat from Shigat very early in the morning after having our breakfast. It is likely to take us about six to seven hours of walk to reach an elevation of 1440 meters where Jagat lies. We will be be encountering various tiny villages filled with people of different ethnic backgrounds. As we follow the main trails, we will be led towards the pretty village of Jagat

On the fifth day of our trek, we will be heading for Simigaon from Jagat, lying at an elevation of 2040 meters. We will be moving through gorgeous forests filled with orchids, moss and ferns as well as we can be encountered with beautiful wildlife like Langur Monkeys, musk deer etc. It is likely to take us about four to five hours to reach the beautiful village of Simigaon. People of Simigaon are involved mostly in agriculture to sustain their daily life. We will be staying overnight at simigaon.

On the sixth day of our amazing trek, we will be moving towards Dongar Khola after an early morning breakfast at Simigaon. It will take us about seven to eight hours to reach Dongar Khola as we make our way to Rolwaling Valley. We will be passing through beautiful forest decorated with rhododendron and conifers. The day can be a little challenging as we pass through various Boulders. We will be having our overnight stay at Dongar Khola.

Beding is our destination for the day. After having a warm breakfast at Dongar Khola, we undertake a seven to eight hours journey from Dongar Khola. We will again be passing through forests and cross various bridges like swing bridge. We will be catching the amazing view of Gaurishankar himal on our way to Beding standing at an altitude of 4000 meters. We can see yak caravans as we make our way through the Sherpa villages at Beding. We can see pretty mani stones created by travelers and even the locals. On the seventh day, we will be spending our night at Beding.

Our eight day is separated for resting purpose in order to be prepared for the changing altitude. This is the acclimatization day. You can choose to take a full day rest or can even explore the beauty village of Beding.

After taking proper rest at Beding, we head towards the Village of Na. It is likely to take us about five to six hours to reach the destination situated at an altitude of 4200 meters. Village of na is also regarded as an Yak grazing spot as most Sherpas living in the region base thei occupation on animal husbandry. We trek to beding in a slow place for accumulating proper acclimatization of the altitude. We will be making our way along an easy trail beside the river. After we reach Na, we will begin to organize for the next day adventure and stay overnight here.

The trip grade of the day depends upon the climate and mostly snowfall, otherwise it would be comparatively an easy walk to Tso Rolpa camp from the Village of Na. It is likely to take us about five to six hours to reach Tso Rolpa Camp. The trails lead our way through curves to Trakarding Glacier. We can get amazing sights of Bigphera Go Shar (East) and Bigphera Go Nup (West) if the climate acts on our favour. We will be staying overnight at Tso Rolpa camp at an altitude of 4500 meters.

The eleventh day of our amazing trek can be a little challenging as we will facing various ascends on our way to crossing the moraine leading to the pass. The loosely held rocks and some Boulders can make the trail a little tough. However, all the tiredness will be washed away as soon as we reach our camping destination at Beach Camp. We will be setting our camp near the base of Drolambau Glacier. But we need to be flexible as per the unexpected weather patterns. We will be staying overnight at our camp in the Beach Camp.

Today, we will be heading for Pharchamo Base Camp after an early morning breakfast at Trakarding Glacier. It is likely to take us about four to five hours of walk, however it depends upon the cpndition of the route which is highly influenced by the weather. That is why; the challenges of the day depend upon the weather conditions. We will be climbing several rocks and going through various iced gullies as we move towards Pharchamo Base camp. We will be staying overnight at Pharchamo Base camp.

We will be heading for the high camp on the thirteenth day of our trek. We will have a warm breakfast at Pharchamo Base camp and then make our way to the high camp. The climb can be a little tough as we will be moving through snow covered region. We will be spending our night at High camp.

Finally on the fourteenth day, we will be heading to ascend Pharchamo peak set at an elevation of 6187 meters. We will be beginning the trek very early in the morning and return to the base camp on the same day. We will start to summit from Tashi Lapcha Camp and start using our technical skills all the way to the top. The views we will be rewarded are certain to take our breath away.

Today, we will be making our way towards Ngole from the base camp of Pharchamo. We will be having our early morning breakfast there at Pharchamo base camp and begin the trek to Ngole. We will get magnificent views of gorgeous landscapes on our way to Ngole. It will take us aboutr five to six hours to reach there through the main trail. We will be staying overnight at Ngole.

On the sixteenth day, we will be heading for Thame from Ngole. It will take us about four to five hours to reach the destination situated at an elevation of 3800 meters. We will be descending through grasslands where yaks can be seen grazing. We will be getting spectacular views of Mt. Thamserku, Ama Dalam etc. if the weather is in our favor. Thame is a village at the junction of Bhote Koshi where we will be settling our camp. We will be staying overnight at Thame.

We will be heading for Namche Bazaar from Thame after an early morning breakfast. On the seventeenth day of our trek, we will be walking for about seven to eight hours to reach Namche Bazaar. We will act according to your flexibility. We will be staying overnight at Namche bazaar at an elevation of 3440 meters.

Today, we will be making our way towards Lukla situated at an alevation of 2800 meters which is likely to take us about five to six hours of walk. We are coming to the end of our amazing trek and from Lukla, we will be preparing for the flight to Kathmandu. Get ready to receive some pats on the back for your amazing accomplishment. We will certainly be celebrating your amazing summit of Pharchamo peak.

We will be catching a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu on the Ninteent day of our trip. We will catch an early morning flight to avoid any sorts of climatic hinderance. But you are requested to maintain flexibility on the plan as sometimes unpredicted circumstances can cause the plan to change

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Pharchamo Peak Climbing. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak. Altitude may range up to 6000 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Pharchamo Peak Climbing, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 2nd day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Pharchamo Peak Climbing as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Pharchamo Peak Climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Pharchamo Peak Climbing tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Pharchamo Peak Climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Pharchamo Peak Climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Pharchamo Peak Climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
