Our group member is there to get you after your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. At that point you will be accompanied to your housing where you will remain for the evening. You will be invited with warm friendliness and Nepali Cuisine supper which is sure to humble you. You can go for short strolls at night around the excellent boulevards of Kathmandu.

Today after early morning breakfast you can hold onto the chance to explore the excellent city of Kathmandu. Our guide will accompany you around the city as you explore religious sites of Kathmandu valley. We will be visiting some of the world heritage site like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu durbar Square also known as Basantapur durbar square.

On the third day of our trek, we hop in a confidential medium after an early morning supper at our accommodations. We will arriving Dharapani through a drive which is probably going to take us around eleven to twelve hours. We will be traveling through the side of the road along Trishuli River. We will remain at Dharapani which is one of the most lovely and greatest towns in the Manang District.

Today will be the actual beginning of our trek. We will be heading for Thame from Dharapani which is probable to catch us about five to six hours of walk. Situated at an altitude of 2710 meters, the trails to Chame provide us with stunning views of mountains like Lamjung Himal. We will be passing through scented forests and cross various ridges.

On the fifth day of our trek, we will have an early morning breakfast at Chame and then leave for Upper Pisang which is situated at an elevation of 3700 meters. It will take us approximately about five to six hours to reach Upper Pisang. We will be moving through forests decorated with pine which will lead us to amazing rocks which are curved in appearance. We will be spending our night at upper Pisang.

The sixth day of our trek is separated for acclimatization purpose. You can take this opportunity to explore the surroundings of Pisang.

After proper rest and acclimatization, on the seventh day we will be heading for Pisang Peak Base Camp situated at an elevation of 4,380 meters. It is likely to take us about four to five hours to reach the destination where we will be camping for the night. We will be passing through various beautiful forest and grasslands and can even enjoy the view of Yak caravans.

The eighth day of our amazing climbing trip is separated for acclimatization purpose in which contingency can play a big role. Due to certain unpredictable weather patterns and conditions, we may have to take a step back from heading to the Pisang Peak Base Camp. So for that purpose, this day has been separated which can also be used for resting.

After an early morning breakfast at Pisang Peak Base Camp, We will be heading for High Camp which is situated at an elevation of 5400 meters. It will take us approximately about three to four hours to reach there. We will be doing basic training on climbing and prepare the require equipments like rope after we settle our camp. We will be taking proper rest as the enxt day we will be heading to summit the magnificent Pisang Peak.

Finally on the nineteenth day of the trek, we start our climbing very early in the morning as we need to head back to the base camp on the same day. We will be following the guidance of our experienced climber who will lead us to the top.We will be rewarded with the extraordinary views of Annapurna massif, Manaslu and some other amazing snowcapped mountain peaks. After summiting the beautiful Pisang Peak, we descend downwards to get back to the base camp where we will be staying for the night.

Today, we will be moving towards Manang Valley from Pisang Peak Base Camp which is likely to take us about five to six hours of walk. You certainly deserve some pats on the back for your amazing accomplishment on climbing the Pisang peak. With regards to favorable accommodations, we will be celebrating your amazing achievement. We will be staying overnight at Manang Valley.

On the twelfth day, we will be leaving the Manang Valley after an early morning breakfast. We will be moving towards Yak Kharka. There is certain to be many ups and downs on the way as we extend our steps towards the elevation of 4110 meters. It is likely to take us about three to four hours to reach there. We will be passing through villages like Tenki Village and valleys like Marshyangdi Valley. We will be crossing beautiful grassland and head further towards Ghunsa which will lead our way to Yak Kharka. We can observe Yak caravans along the way. We will be staying overnight at Yak Kharka.

After enjoying a warm breakfast at the pretty village of Yak Kharka, we will be heading for an altitude of 4420 meters where Thorang Phedi lies. It will take us approximately about three to four hours to reach there. Thorang Phedi is the last village we encounter before Thorong La pass. We will certainly get to enjoy the gracious views of mountains like Thorung Peak, Gundang and some others, on our way to Thorang Phedi. We will be staying overnight at Thorang Phedi.

From Thorang Phedi, we will be crossing the amazing Thorong La Pass which is situated at an altitude of 5416 meters as we further head towards Muktinath. We will be facing various ups and downs along the way but from Thorong la Pass, we will be descending downwards to reach an elevation of 3,800 meters where Muktinath is situated. We will be staying overnight at Muktinath which is well known for being an important pilgrim destinations for the followers of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Today, we will be moving towards Jomsom after having a wonderful breakfast at Muktinath. Jomsom is situated at an elevation 2715 meters, reaching which will take us about five to six hours. Jomsom is very popular for its production of apples. We can use the remaining day by exploring the beautiful existence of Jomsom and be fascinated by its strong refreshing winds. We will be staying overnight at Jomsom.

Finally, from Jomsom, we will be catching an early morning flight to Pokhara. We humbly request you to be flexible with the plan as there can be last moment delay due to unpredictable conditions. However, if gone by the plan, you will have a scenic flight to Pokhara which is likely to last for about twenty five minutes. We will be staying overnight at Pokhara.

We are coming near to the end of our amazing trek and climb of Pisang Peak. Finally, on the seventeenth day of the trek, we will be hopping on a private vehicle and head back to the city of Kathmandu where it all started. It is likely to take us about six hours of drive to reach Kathmandu. We will be staying overnight at Kathmandu where you will be served with special farewell dinner and celebrations. We will certainly be exchanging our experiences and have some fun.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

To climb every peak is challenging so the climber needs to be fit and fine physically. Prior experience of mountain walking will be additional support for the climber and the altitude may range up to 6000 meters.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Before starting our peak climbing we hold a trip meeting in Kathmandu. In this meeting you will be introduced to your climbing guide and other team members that will be going along with you.

Equipment Check List:

We have listed some of the necessary equipment list that are required for climbing the pisang peak. Your trekking bag should not weight more than 20 kg and you should keep your equipments to minimum.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

Upper Body:-

As for the upper body’s shirts – Hiking and light weight thermal tops - Fleece jacket or pullover - Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional) - Waterproof shell jacket - Down vest and/or jacket - Base layer shirts - Warm jacket (down)*

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Pisang Peak Climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Pisang Peak Climbing tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Pisang Peak Climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Pisang Peak Climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Pisang Peak Climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
