As soon as you land at Tribhuvan International airport, our team member will be there to pick you up and escort you to your accommodation. On the very first day, you will be welcomed with Nepali Cuisine dinner with pure local ingredients. Then we will conduct a short discussion and introduction with our team members along with the guide. We will discuss about the preparation for the trek and you will be provided with all the required information.

We will drive towards Syabrubesi after having our early morning breakfast. On the course, we will have a chance to see the glorious scenarios of magnificent mountains accompanied by the lavish woods of rhododendron. But before reaching to Syabrubesi, we may have a chance to investigate around the Chilime Hydropower which is under the slopes. Then we will be spending our night in this incredible Sherpa land.

On the third day, we begin our trekking journey after we have our early morning breakfast. We will be walking through the trails of the Langtang region leading to Lama Hotel from Sybrubesi. We will certainly be facing some ups and downs as we make our way through the landslide zone by ascending through bamboo trees. We will be crossing some suspension bridges and stop for lunch on the way. We will have our overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

Today, we will be facing some short climbs as we pash through dense forests decirated with pines, oaks and rhododendron. If the day is filled with luck, we will definitely get to see wildlife like Langur, Himalayan black bears, red panda and others before we reach the Langtang Village where we will spending our night.

We will be leaving Langtang after an early morning breakfast and make our way to Kyanjin Gompa. The path to Kyanjin Gompa takes us through short climbs with the encounters of various pretty villages. We will be conducting gradual climbs past the incredible Mani wall. It is likely to take us about three to four hours to reach our destination for the night.

On the sixth day of our amazing trek, we will be resting at Kyanjin Gompa to stretch our muscles for upcoming paths and acclimatize our body. We will have our early morning breakfast and take this opportunity to explore all around the Kyanjin Gompa. We will seize this moment to explore and spend our time at the monastery and beautiful villages

This is a short training day for the climb to the summit the next day. From the base camp, we can see the wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way and then move towards Yala Base Camp where we will spend one night

We will be leaving very early in the morning to summit Yala Peak which stands tall at an elevation of 550 meters. The climb can be a little challenging, however we will be rewarded with the breath taking views of glorious mountain peaks like Lirung and some other peaks of Langtang Himalayan range. After successfully climbing the Yala peak, we will be heading back to Yala Base Camp. We will be staying overnight at Yala base Camp before heading for Langtang Village.

We will be heading towards Langtang village from kyanjin Gompa on the ninth day of our trek. Today, we will be surrounded by gorgeous Himalayan scenarios along with the beautiful formation of landscapes. We will be stopping for lunch in between and then again march towards of destination of the day. We will be staying overnight at Langtang Village.

On the tenth day of the trek, we will be leaving Langtang Village after having an early morning breakfast and then head for Thulo Syabru. The trail is mostly downhill and we will be going through beautiful wilderness. It is likely to take us about five to six hours to reach the destination. We will be spending our night at the beautiful village of Thulo Syabru.

Today, we will be making our way towards Gosaikunda which is likely to take us about seven to eight hours from Langtang Village. We will be facing some ups and downs as we pass through Dursagang from where we can have clear view of Langtang Himal. If we are lucky, we will be able to encounter Red panda which is regarded as an endangered species. We will be staying around Gosaikunda for the overnight.

On the twelfth day, we will be moving for Tharapati from Gosaikunda which will take us about seven to eight hours. Standing at an elevation of 3600 meters, the trails of Tharapati will take us through some ascents, providing us with the gorgeous views of valleys and glorious mountains in the Langtang mountain range. We will be following some steep trail which will be taking us through the forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines. We will be staying overnight at Tharapati.

Today, we will be making our way through dense alpine forest as we head towards Timbu which is likely to take us about six to seven hours. We will get various chances to catch the amazing sight of Ganesh Himal including the great Langtang massif. As we explore the valley, we will settle at Timbu for the overnight stay.

Finally, on the fourteenth day of this amazing trek, we will be heading back to Kathmandu by following the same route which we took for Timbu. We will be having our lunch on the way and as soon as we reach the Kathmandu valley, you will be connected with your accommodations. We can spend the remaining time by strolling through the streets of Thamel, Basantapur and others. We will be spending our final night at the wonderful city of temples.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Yala Peak climbing. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Yala Peak climbing, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Yala Peak climbing as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.

Accommodation:

While at the Yala Peak climbing, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Yala Peak climbing tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Yala Peak climbing includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Yala Peak climbing is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.

Meals:

On Yala Peak climbing, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
