Welcome to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. You may arrive at Kathmandu at any time, day or night. One of our office’s men will be waiting for you at the airport with the office vehicle and will take the responsibility to transfer you to your hotel. After your refreshment you will be picked from your hotel and driven to our office located to Thamel where the pre- trek briefing will be discussed, and you will be officially introduced to our trekking guide. We will explain you every details and the documents that will be needed so that we can organize permits required for your trek.

After early morning breakfast we will head out to Jarsing Pauwa where you will start your trek of the Kathmandu Valley edge. Explore both widely known and lesser-known destinations and enjoy the most of their enamoring mountain scenes. Around evening time, we will trek up to Nagarkot and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset view. USEFUL INFORMATION

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness is required for the Balthali Village Trek. Since this trek is not of many days so there won’t be any difficulties while trekking.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Balthali village Trek, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 1st day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Balthali village Trek as well as introduce yourself to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipment’s check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.

Head:-

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

Accommodation:

Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.

Insurance:

Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Balthali village Trek includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Meals:

On balthali Village Trek, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
