Our team member will be there to pick you up at Tribhuvan international airport and escort you to your accommodation on the very first day. In the remaining time, you can stroll around the streets of Basantapur, Thamel, and some other places. You will be provided with the best hospitality along with a delicious Nepali cuisine dinner. As per your comfort, on day one, we can either drive or catch a flight. However, the flight will be much faster giving us enough time for ourselves later. We stay in Pokhara at 884 meters in height for the night.

Our trek initiates with a drive of 45 minutes in the morning to Nayapul from Pokhara. We will then be heading down to Birethanti crossing the beautiful Bhurungdi Khola bank in order to connect with by off-road drive Tirkhedhunga where we will drop our bags and have a peaceful ascend to Ulleri for the night sleep.

On day three we will leave Tikhrdhunga in order to stretch all the way to Ghorepani at 2,848 meters which will take us crossing some suspension bridges over Bhurungdi Khola, exploration of Magar village Ulleri followed by a movement through pasture fields and then the densely beautiful forest. As we reach Nangethanti, just an hour of walk remains to be undertaken to reach our perfect overnight destination.

This is the day we had been waiting for the last three days. From Ghorepani, we will hike all the way up to Poon hill at 3,210 meters of height relishing some incredibly beautiful scenarios of the Himalayas on a clear weather day. We wake up very early and with a walk for about an hour or more, we reach the hilltop and enjoy the sunrise. Then we head back down to pack our bags and move for Tadapani at 2600 meters where we will stay for the end of the sixth day.

Today the designation is at Ghandruk from Tadapani where we go downhill to the forests of distinct rhododendron and the trees. At Ghandruk we will have our lunch which has given many Gorkha soldiers for the battlefronts and is one of the fascinating tribal Gurung villages in Nepal. The place is enclosed with majestic mountains like Machhapuchhare, Annapurna South, and the Himachuli. Activities information is provided at the ACAP office.

Begin your day with a delightful final breakfast of the trek, let your mind wander to the fantastic journey you're done with. After breakfast, you will set out for the hike through the other scenic villages, enjoying the calmness of the countryside along with the working lives of the locals. Your way will lead you to Kimche Top for some great views over the mountains and the valleys. You may take transport back to Pokhara from Kimche by bus or jeep. Spend your time sightseeing in Pokhara with lunch, and enjoy its liveliness around the lake. Later in the afternoon, a private vehicle will arrive at your hotel for the transfer to the airport, where you'll board your flight back to Kathmandu, thus ending this memorable trek.

A typical day:

You wake up and enjoy your breakfast as per your demand and taste. Then you get ready and all packed up for the day’s beautiful journey. You rest at times during the trek with ultimate rest at the lunch spot. After lunch, we again resume walking and then finally get to our day’s targeted place where we will stay for dinner and sleep.

Accommodation:

Limited number of hotels and lodges, so keep your expectations as low as possible regarding all kind of facilities including shower. Be adjustable with bathroom resource as it is required to be shared. A fireplace in the dining area will keep you warm.

Altitude Sickness:

There will be acclimatization processes and resting moments to adjust with climate. However, in Ghorepani Poonhill trek, the risk is low as the altitude doesn’t rise further than 3,210 meters. However, in case of emergency, the patient is taken down and taken care of. If the condition is weak, evacuation is made.
