Today, after early morning breakfast we drive in the first part of the day for five hours through the Araniko Highway to the region focal point of the Sindhupalchok locale Chautara. Chautara is the headquarter of Sindupalchok area where we fix out camp this evening. Today, we stroll through the terraced fields and the riverbed of the Indrawati stream. We cross the awesome towns and furthermore investigate the hydroelectric undertaking. Experience Required:

There is no particular requirement for someone to have a previous experience in order to jon the Panch Pokhari Trekking

Pre-Trip Meeting:

We as a team will be hosting meeting for the Panch Pokhari trek before the adventure takes its pace which is in the first initial days.

Equipment Check List:

Here is the list of required equipment which we have prepared for the ease of your packing;

Head:-

For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Under Garments - Hiking shorts - Lightweight cotton long pants - Light weight hiking thermal bottoms - Fleece or wool pants – Waterproof trekking trousers -

Feet: - lightweight thin inner socks - Thick, warm wool hiking socks - Hiking boots with spare laces - Camp shoes – Gaiters (optional)

Upper Body:-

As for the upper body’s shirts – Hiking and light weight thermal tops - Fleece jacket or pullover - Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional) - Waterproof shell jacket - Down vest and/or jacket - Base layer shirts - Warm jacket (down)*

Hands: - gloves that are Lightweight - Heavyweight gloves or mittens with a waterproof shell outer.

Accessories:-

Sleeping bag (comfort rated –10ºC)*- Sleeping bag liner - Head torch with spare bulbs and batteries - Small pad or combination.

Trekking Bags: - Large bag for keeping items dry inside trek bag, Daypack 250 to 30litres. - Thermarest sleeping pad - Water bottles - Water purification tablets.

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

A typical day:

A normal day in Panch Pokhari Trekking looks something like this:

  • Early morning knock on the door to wake you up
  • A warm set of breakfast with coffee or tea
  • Refreshment, packing and preparing
  • Leaving the accommodation
  • Walking for the estimated hours
  • Resting during lunch time in a tea house or hotel
  • Conducting walk for another estimated hours
  • Reaching the last destination for the particular day
  • Enjoying dinner and sleep in that place

Accommodation:

While at the Panch Pokhari trekking, the accommodation, loding or hotel facilities are limit to an extent. So we will have to make ourselves comfortable in the best way possible for the shared facilities like bathroom.

Insurance:

Panch Pokhari trekking consists of the insurance policy which makes you responsible to be insured fully with medical, emergency rescue evacuations as well as with trip cancellation aspects.

Altitude Sickness:

In the Panch Pokhari trekking, we make sure to avoid altitude sickness and its symptoms in best possible ways like acclimatization, resting, exercises and use of energy gaining foods and drinks.
