You are welcomed to the bustling city of Kathmandu, where you will be picked up at the Tribhuvan International Airport. With the placard of the Nepal Nomad, our representative will wait for you. You will be moved to the hotel where we will give you some short briefings about the trek king journey. Today we will stay for an overnight at the hotel.

Today is day two where we head start with the fresh morning to the Indrachowk and Ason marketplaces where we can get the insights of the Nepalese traditional lifestyle. You can witness the local purchase and how people bargain in a market. Relish the vibrant environment that the local offers. Narrow alleys and the purchase of the smells will enchant you. The tour guide shall describe the procedures and the products.

We begin our travelling with the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar which is the Kathmandu Durbar Square and this is the place where the Nepali administrators and the royal family resided, this beautiful ancient is located at the Kathmandu’s heart which meets old complex palaces, courtyards from the 15th to the 18th century. The most respected places of the earth is the Kumari Bahal which is the three storied temple. In this house we can witness the living goddess where Kumari lives and during the Indra Jatrra, in a custom gilded chariot the Kumari is paraded around the square. Built in the 1549 AD, the tallest temple of the Kathmandu valley the “Taleju Bhawani” was built. This temple is known for being the astonishing work of art and is renowned as the royal goddess.

Built in the 16th century, Jagnath Temple is renowned for the carving which was erotic as well as the royal palace “Hanuman Dhoka” located in the Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Near the Jagnnath temple lays the Kal Bhiarav which is known to be the destructor form of the Lord Shiva. The high stone statue is known for portraying the Kal Bhairab and was built during the 17th century and is about 10ft.

Rectangular in shape, there is a temple of the Shiva Parvati which enshrines the Nava Durga which is a group of the goddesses believed where there is a wooden image of the Parvati and the Shiva at the upper floor looking out at the passerby in the Durbar Square.


We then take a look around at the renowned monkey temple the “Swayambhunath” which is one of the ancient and religious architecture where the Buddhism and Hinduism faiths upon. Visible from the far and the wide, there lays the glorious golden spire. The aromatic fragrance and the enormous prayer wheels shall bring you to the tranquility.

We explore around Kathmandu City and visit world heritage sites. This includes a visit to the Bodhnath Stupa known for its unique structure and as the biggest shrines in the world. For a more lighthearted day, a visit to Pashupatinath, situated on the banks of the holy Baghmati River which is considered as a home to the hundreds of thousands Hindus people and as the famous Hindu temple across the country where you will see Hindu holy men (sadhus) and pilgrims performing ritual bathing, and occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats. The cremation site here is used by the royal family and also for the simple man living next door. In the early afternoon you can relax to your hotel or do last minute shopping. In the early morning, after an early breakfast we will move you to the domestic airport for the time of the 35 minutes where one can get the striking flight to the Lukla which is one of the domestic airport that for the intention of seeing the Mt.Everest where flying is one of the significant part of the adventure. Within the flight one can see the world’s soaring peaks which comprises of Gauri Shankar, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and the Menlungtse.

Setting of on the trek to the Phakding, we will meet the team and the crew as soon as we land at Lukla where we follow the crest of the bank of the Dudh Koshi River on our way to the Phakding village, The glaciers emerging from above Milk River of the Dudh Koshi River which is named after the chalky color. Passing the theatrical valley filled with the suspension bridges, shops, prayer wheels, carved Mani stones and the packed animals.

As we pass through the villages of the Ghat and the Chaurikharka, located right next to the Dudh Koshi River, we arrive at the Phakding.

Out from the Phakding behind, we will begin our trek by ascending towards the ancient towns of the Namche Bazaar where it is also renowned as the gateway to the Everest and the Sherpa ethnicity. Namche is renowned for one of the ancient trading center between the countries of the Tibet and the Nepal as this is nestled between the Himalayas.

We begin our hike by following the path after an early breakfast where the path precedes with the Dudh Koshi River which is one of the north water glaciers and through the forests of pine we ascend. The path is filled with the beautiful traditional houses, cultivated fields, rolling terrain where we pass the beautiful bridges of the Dudh Koshi R

iver which is filled with the crystal blue colors. One can see the first sight of the great Everest peak and the Lhotse where after the few trails we reach at the capital city of the Sherpas that is the Namche Bazaar as we pass the forest of the pines. Surrounded by the three sides of the mountains, we face the Dudh Koshi River at the Namche. Pretty villages with sufficient cafes, bars, shops and the mountaineering equipments can be purchased. Supplementing the yaks and the miraculous sounds of the bells can also be seen. One can see the beautiful peaks of the Ama Dablam, Nuptse and the Everest.

Out of the Namche as we leave the trail which contours the hillside of the high Imja River we then see the amazing sights of the Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest and the great Ama Dablam which is known for being one of the greatest mountains in the world. We then arrive at the lodge with the sights and the valleys.

Today we will hike to our ultimate designation where we will return downhill from there. The path reached down to the Dudh Koshi River as we pass the river and then proceed with the Phungi Tenga as we ascend towards the forests until we arrive at the Tengboche in the morning.

One of the most significant monasteries in the Sherpa region is the Tengboche Monastery with the home of 80 monks and the novices. This is definitely a paradise for the photographers with the great backdrop of the Everest, Ama Dablam and other incredible peaks. This stands as one of the peacefully serene. Almost surreal in this area, the vivid color of the Tengboche will only enhance this place magically.

We shall discover the areas where there are great panoramic sights of the Everest and the Himalayan giants as we make a trip down hill to the Imja Khola River will the magical Pangboche village.

Today we will look around the village of the Pangboche where there are the residents of the Sungdare Sherpa, Sherpas as a native of the village. After an early breakfast we then discover around the Upper Pangboche where we get to see the beautiful views. One can walk upto the Ama Dablam Base Camp, if you are energetic enough as this is a great chance to get to the primary trail of the Everest Base Camp and then relish around the Khumbu region which is the quieter areas.

After an early breakfast, we head towards the Tashinga lodge where there are distinct paths as we pass the Phortse village. We take the amazing sight out from the Pangboche above the Imja Drengkha River. The path then billows the valley side and you have amazing vistas across the peaks and the Tengboche on the crest nestled. Located in the amazing spots of the Dudh Koshi River and the Imja Drenga, from the other side, carry the hike out from the Phortse towards the Trashinga where we ascend to the Mong La. This part of the hike is densely forests. Impressive background of the peaks is really amazing to look out for.

Today we will head to the Everest Base Camp on the main path where while we head towards the Lukla by distinct path via the villages of the Sherpas of Khumjung and Kunde.

Built by the Edmund Hillary and the Himalayan Trust, Khumjung is the site of the first school; we shall visit the monastery above the villages and then see the infamous ‘yeti scalp’. We then go to our next designation at the Mende which is a tiny village of the Tshro where we then head towards the primary path to Thame as we follow the tiny but a steep way to the Mende.

Today we will hike to the pretty village of the Thame as we trek to the isolated place at the primary path to the Everest Base Camp. At the end part of the Khumbu valley lays the Thame which is one of the iconic places at its landscapes which are one of the unaffected effects of the modern society. Thame is one of the trade hub between the countries like the Tibet and the Nepal and is also the birth place of the Everest Summiteers like the Appa and the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa.

Today we head towards the Namche by following the same trail , we will reach a the Namche for lunch after few hours of lunch and then we shall proceed with the hike where the hike then heads downhill to reach at the Monjo for the accommodation.

As we pass the Dudh Koshi from the Jorsalle, Monjo comes between as we cross again at the Benkar.

Today is the ultimate hike where after having the breakfast we shall head back to the Lukla as we follow the isolated trail to prevent from the hiking to same path. We shall visit the Gumila Monastery before descending to the primary path where we take a meal at the Tada Koshi to proceed after descending within the 2 hours we shall be inbounding to the Lukla for the overnight. Out from the Lukla we rest for a while and unwind

Out from the peaks we will head back to the Kathmandu to have an early breakfast we shall fly back to the Kathmandu as soon as we leave from the Airport of the Lukla. If you have time, one can take rest for a will and stay for an overnight at the Hotel.

Experience Required:

A good level of fitness and experience of mountain walking is required for the Everest Comfort Lodge Trek. These tend to be longer treks with some more difficult days, some of which may involve walking at increased altitudes and more difficult terrain. Occasionally, there may be a longer day when negotiating the more challenging sections such as a mountain pass or viewing peak.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to set off to Everest Comfort Lodge Trek, we host a Pre-Trip meeting here in Kathmandu office on the 2nd day of your itinerary which starts in the evening during the dinner and introduce your trek Leader. It is an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about your Everest Comfort Lodge Trek as well as introduce you to one another.

Equipment Check List:

The specified basic equipments check lists should help you with your packing. Remember to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek your packed trek bag should not weigh more than 20 kg.


For the head protection: Sun hat or scarf - Light balaclava or warm fleece hat - Sunglasses with UV protection.

Lower Body: -

Trekking Bags: - Large bag for keeping items dry inside trek bag, Daypack 250 to 30litres. - Thermarest sleeping pad - Water bottles - Water purification tablets.

Basic First Aid Kit: - Antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), altitude (Diamox), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite). Glucose tablets and multi-vitamin tablets are also a good idea.

A typical day:

At 6.30 am your Sherpa knocks on your door with a cup of good morning tea. Time for the Breakfast, tight up your bag pack and head off for today's trekking hiking for the next three to four hours then at pleasant spot we shall stop for an hour along the way for a well-prepared hot lunch. Later, a walk another three hours or so before you stop for the over night. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day. An asset can be pack of games to these nights; your trekking crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Eventually, it's time to bed for a well deserved night.


While at the Everest Comfort Lodge Trek, lodging options are limited so please do not expect the Ritz! Nepal Nomad utilizes simplistic family run lodges, with a large sociable central dining area and a cozy chimney burning fire. Lodges are on a twin share basis and we recommend you use your own sleeping bag. Accommodations in the Everest Comfort Lodge Trek tend to have shared bathroom facilities and you may not always have access to a shower. Regardless of the lack of facilities, these lodges certainly have a rustic charm, most are blessed with spectacular views and being family run operations, they offer a great insight into the daily life of the Mountain people.


Nepal Nomad's booking terms & conditions of joining Everest Comfort Lodge Trek includes that you must be fully insured with medical, emergency rescue evacuations including trip cancellation insurance which should cover over 3000m to 6000m.

Altitude Sickness:

Itinerary of the Everest Comfort Lodge Trek is designed to ensure that there is plenty of times for adequate occurs as a result of acclimatization and cases of mountain sickness are rare. The common Symptoms are headaches, nausea, irregular breathing, insomnia and the swelling of fingers and glands. Medical Treatment is to descend to a lower altitude as quickly as possible which normally results in rapid improvement and recovery.


On Everest Comfort Lodge Trek, three meals on full board basis will be provided (Nepali, Sherpa, and Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Chinese and Indian cousins). Every day dinner and breakfast will be placed and taken in the same lodge you spend over night but Lunch will be taken on your way to next village. Farewell dinner, breakfast and reception will be provided in Kathmandu.
